It is reported that at least five Palestinians were killed by Israeli soldiers during an overnight raid on a refugee camp in the West Bank.
Palestinian sources said tanks and helicopters took part in the raid on the Jenin refugee camp.
An Israeli military source is quoted as saying he had no immediate information on the reported deaths but added that soldiers had shot several gunmen who had opened fire.
